Experience the Prickly Pear community through our education, volunteer, and community events. We kick off a busy trail season with the Don’t Fence Me In Trail Run in May. Summer volunteer events feature trail work, education, and land stewardship. The Harvest Moon Banquet & Auction kicks off our fall season. Fireside Chats keep us busy and learning all winter.
Cactus Club members sustain Prickly Pear Land Trust through every season. We’re so thankful for your generosity and friendship, and we want to show you our gratitude! Join us on Thursday, June 5, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Blackfoot River Brewing Company. We’ll enjoy live music by The Hoppy Trails Band, featuring Deb Haliday, Mary Hollow, Christian McKay, Mark Piskolich, and Ed Tinsley. Bring your punch card and a friend to be entered into a Happy Trails drawing.
Prickly Pear Land Trust recognizes that the lands we conserve are the traditional and contemporary territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfeet), the Sélish (Salish), the Ktunaxa (Kootenai), the Métis (Little Shell Chippewa), the Apsáalooke (Crow), and the Shoshone-Bannock peoples. The Indigenous Nations who continue their connections with this ground, these waters, and all creatures have always and will always be the original stewards of the land. PPLT prioritizes Indigenous partners and actively seeks projects that respect their cultures, honor their values, and create a collaborative conservation vision.
