Land Acknowledgment

Prickly Pear Land Trust recognizes that the lands we conserve are the traditional and contemporary territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfeet), the A’aninin (Gros Ventre), the Sélish (Salish), the Ql̓ispé, (Pend d’Oreille), the Ksanka (Kootenai), the Annishinabe and Métis (Little Shell Chippewa), the Apsáalooke (Crow), the Ne-i-yah-wahk (Plains Cree), and the Shoshone-Bannock peoples. The Indigenous Nations are the original stewards of the land and continue their connections with this ground, these waters, and all creatures.
