This trail traverses the east flank of Mount Ascension and connects Mount Ascension City Park to Jefferson County. It features beautiful wooded glens and dramatic rock outcroppings. Stop beneath a twisted Ponderosa pine to admire the plaque that honors Eddye McClure and Mignon Waterman, friends of Prickly Pear Land Trust who helped develop the trail. Three trail easements protect the entirety of this trail as it crosses private land, so please be sure to respect private property and stay on the trail.
